Refferal on Ayocer
The fact that you're reading this we assume you are already familiar with the Ayocer social earning concept. We also, reasonably believe you already understand that one of the primary ways to earn money on Ayocer is through receiving a particular percentage splits from monthly wallet (re)activation fee charged from the people you have referred to the platform.
We have designed our system to operate on both automated and manual referring.
Using automated referring Ayocer is able to automatically build people directly under you. Our system follows a simple set of rules to automatically grow your referrals. However, with the manual referring user has to manually share a link to a page on the site containing their username or user ID added to the ref parameter of the link.
Both the automated and manual referring system can be used together. In fact, we encourage users to use both the refferal systems so as to grow even more referrals.
We have deliberately implemented the automated referring system along with the manual referring system to allow and enable even the users who have not consciously invited or referred anyone to the platform to still be able to make some financial returns on the platform.
Moving on, in this article, we'll try to describe both the manual and the automated referring systems. We'll also point out some of the referral gotchas.
Automated Referral System
As mentioned earlier, the Ayocer automated referral system automatically handles finding and placing users referral. But how exactly does this work? Is what we hope to describe in this section but only after we describe our definition of an automated referral system.
An automated referral system is a form of referral that does not require users to explicitly refer a user to Ayocer. A user explicitly refer a user to Ayocer when they have attached the "?ref=ID" on a link to any page on the website.
Our major reason for building an automated referral tracking system was primarily to allow users to gain even more referrals automatically.
The automated referral system works by tracking access to and/or views of content or materials that a particular user has posted on Ayocer. This also includes a view of the userspace ( timeline ).
The automated referral system kicks into action when this event occurs:
1. A user profile is viewed by non-logged in user.
2. A user post, photo, or video is viewed by non-logged in user ( note: the content in question must have privacy set to public to be seen by non-logged in users )
3. A comment on a user's post, photo, or video is seen by a non-logged in user.
4. When a user gallery is viewed by non-logged in user ( Gallery is where a user's photos and videos on Ayocer are collected for easy access ). Note: There are options in the user account settings that allow users to set if their gallery can be viewed publicly ( i.e by non-logged in user ), there's also an option to allow Gallery to be crawled and indexed by search engines like Google.
5. When a user channel is viewed by non-logged in user ( Channel is where a user published blog posts on Ayocer are collected for easy access and reach ). Note: There are options in the user account settings that allow users to set if their channel can be viewed/accessed publicly ( i.e by non-logged in user ), there's also an option to allow the channel to be crawled and indexed by search engines like Google.
6. When a non-logged in user tries to use user's money token. ( Money token is a link a particular user has generated to hold a specific amount of money up to $100. The link can then be sent to anyone online or offline. The amount held in the link is credited to the first user to successfully redeem the token. You can learn more about money token from Wallet ). Our automated referral system automatically places a referral tracking cookie on a users computer when they try to claim a money token.
Tip: Making your Channel publicly available and indexable by search engines is a great way to ensure that non-logged in users can easily find your content from search engines, this, in turn, helps our automated referral system to grow your referral faster. The same thing applies to Gallery. However, you have to consider the privacy and security implications of this and decide for yourself if its a good tradeoff.
Manual Referral System
The manual referral system is when you explicitly refer people to the site by adding the parameter: "ref=" to any link on the site and adding your tracking code ( which is either your username or user ID ) to the parameter. The end result may look something like "ref=Bob" or "ref=123456789".
Manual referral may not be necessary in most cases since the automated referral system is designed to cover most referral use cases. However, the manual referral system is good for hacking any URL on the site to contain your referral tracking code.
The manual referring system is not completely useless, as a matter of fact, it can come in handy a lot of times because the automated referral system by design only covers a number of scopes as listed in the automated referral system section above. This means that anything outside of the scope covered by automated tracking may not easily be tracked unless a user uses the manual referral system.
Let's say, for example, you find a help article interesting and want to send the link to a friend whom you think might find it useful as well. You could simply copy the link to that help article and add "?ref=Your-UserID" to the link so when the user uses the link to visit the help article, a tracking cookie is placed on the user machine to track them as someone referred by you. If they later decide to signup on Ayocer withing the next thirty ( 30 ) days after the first visit they are automatically placed under as referred by you.
We have used a help article here for illustration purpose only. The same hack can be used with any link to any page (valid or invalid) on Ayocer.
What is user Referral ID
A user could use either their Ayocer username or User ID as their referral ID. The Ayocer referral tracking system can automatically, smartly understand which was used and accurately pin the referred user to the target user.
Finding User ID: Once logged in, simply go to the account page to find your User ID. The user ID is a string of numbers typically located immediately under a user's name on the account page. You can reach the account page from the menu navigation easily accessible from any page of the site.
Setting username ( space ID ): To set a username, you must first log in to your account then go to your profile page, you'll find a field to set your preferred username (space ID) in the first section of the profile page.
Which should you use? User-ID or Username
As mentioned earlier, either username or user ID can be used as the referral ID. But before making a decision on which one to use as your preferred referral ID, there are some things we think you need to understand.
Usernames may change over time.
A username change could be initiated by you. If for some reason you no longer wish to use an old username you can easily go to your profile and set a new username. But doing this will cause the old username no longer serve as your referral ID. This can be a really bad thing if you've always used your username as your referral ID since the links will no longer track referrals for you.
In addition, usernames are not guaranteed to live forever as they can be reclaimed by us for a number of reasons, such as when your username conflicts with a file system on our server or the username have been legally claimed by another user.
More so, usernames are not reserved, when you select a new username the old username immediately becomes publicly available and could be picked by someone else. When a username is picked by someone else, all the referral links you have shared using the username as your referral ID will only now work for the new user and there's no way to reclaim the username.
Unlike usernames, the user ID can never be changed or updated, so in that regard, it is more secure to use user ID as your referral ID instead of a username. But on the flipside, usernames are easier to memorize and include in links rather than User ID ( which is a string of integers ).
Both the username and user ID has its own advantage and disadvantages to being used as the referral ID. Though, at first look the disadvantages of using username as one preferred referral ID appears to outweigh the advantages; but still, this doesn't necessarily mean users can't use username securely as the preferred referral ID. It all begins by choosing a username you wouldn't have a need to change in the future and that is less likely to go against our username guidelines.
The recommended practice for referring people to the platform
When you do not intend to link directly to a specific page on the site, in most cases, giving people the link to your page on Ayocer is good enough to refer them.
Grow your referral naturally by simply sharing the link to your page or by sharing the link to a content you have posted on Ayocer.
For example, if you have set Bob as your username, the link to your page will be https://ayocer.com/Bob. Or, in the case where you have not set your username, you could also use your User ID https://ayocer.com/123456789. Simply share the link to your page our referral system will take care of the rest.
You can also share a link to a content you have posted on the site. For example, if you have shared a public post on the site, you can share the link to that post anywhere on the internet and when the post is visited by non-logged in user, the user is tracked has been referred by you. A link to a post can be copied from the post by clicking the drop-down handle at the top-right corner of the post. Post link, typically looks like "https://ayocer.com/post/123".
Our automated referral tracking system will always automatically track people as referred by you when they visit your page or see content posted by you while not been logged in.
Post shareworthy content on Ayocer to leverage our automated referral system to gain even more referrals in a little time. The shareworthy content can be posts ( status update or blog posts ), photos, and videos that are publicly available and have their link shared on places on the internet such as forums, social media, and blogs to enable people and search engines to find the content.
Doing this, your page or content can be crawled and indexed by search engines, and people who visit the content are automatically tracked as referred by you by our automated referral system.
For privacy reasons, referred users are cloaked. Meaning people you have referred on Ayocer are represented as wallets and not as persons. There's no way to identify any user referred on Ayocer. We intend to keep it this way to protect users privacy.
You can see the number of persons ( represented as wallets ) you have referred on Ayocer from your Wallet dashboard.
